The laser barrier system creates a barrier by scanning laser light in a planar manner using a laser distance scanning sensor, detecting objects that intrude into the barrier and triggering alarms, etc. It performs measurements and detection from short to long distances through time-of-flight (light propagation time) measurement. This versatile measurement system can be used for a wide range of applications, including shape measurement, positioning, obstacle detection, security, and access control.
